Words normally come rolling off my tongue like there’s no tomorrow.
I’m said to be good at speaking. Efficient at writing.
But words fail me now. I feel numb. Probably the cause of heartbreak.
Essentially because we have lost a loved one, a friend, a voyage companion like no other.
Frixos Frixou.
Good ol’ Frixos, with his inquisitive smile, an honest, take-me-as-you-see-me, smile.
Generous.
That is how I will always remember Frixos, as generous. Generous beyond his own limits, always there to help others.
He came into our life as “a local”, who had worked only in Limassol before Waypoint, but exited life as a person known globally, from Brazil to Japan, Korea to Panama.
Frixos. Dare I say, our Frixos.
I am honoured to have known him. Immensely grateful for his contribution to our company, but equally indebted to his camaraderie, his sense of being part of a group…of friends. The Waypoint family of friends.
He will never be forgotten.
Ever.
His beloved daughter, wife, mother and family must be so proud of what he meant to us all. To them. Generous, always ready to give.
May he rest in eternal peace. He will be remembered forever in our hearts, and in our minds.
Never forgotten.

Angelo Cachia
One of his many friends.
