Periklis Christofi
Finance Director

Periklis started his career in Accounting & Finance in 2006, working for a local Accounting firm in Chicago, USA where he studied and lived for almost 10 years. In 2009, he joined BSM’s CFO office where, among other tasks, he was responsible for the Financial Reporting of the BSM Group. In 2016, Periklis joined Waypoint as Business Support Manager. In 2017 he was promoted to Global Finance Manager where he was responsible for Finance & Accounting matters of all WPS. He was promoted to Finance Director at the end of 2021. Periklis is Cypriot and is based in Limassol.

Fabian Delgado
Country Manager Brazil

Fabian has been in shipping since 1988, working as ship operator at CROSS-OCEAN, CHEMINTER, ARGENMAR SA acting as disponent Owners in Argentina on tankers and the bulk sector. He moved to the agency business in 2004 at Independent Ship Agents in Buenos Aires. Fabian joined Waypoint Brazil in January 2016 as Port Operations Manager and promoted to Country Manager in January 2019. He is Argentinean and has been living in Santos Brazil ever since his relocation.

Franklin Peña Garcia
Country Manager Panama – Husbandry & Ancillary Services

Franklin commenced his shipping experience back in 1997 and has occupied leading roles with the likes of ISS, MOL and Maersk, where he was part of the Panama local agency Operations Management team.
In 2013 Franklin was key in helping the Schulte Group establish their own shipping agency in Panama, then known as Eurasia Shipping Services and subsequently took over the Country Manager role for Husbandry and Ancillary services at Waypoint from day one of our operations. Being a founding manager for Waypoint Panama, throughout the years he lead several projects promoting new businesses enabling the company to grow and develop. Franklin is Panamanian and resides in Panama City.

Francisco Torné
Country Manager Panama – Canal Transits & Cargo

Francisco entered the world of shipping by joining C. Fernie & Co,  back in 1996 as a boarding officer involved in all agency operations, especially Canal Transits. In 2000 he changed companies and joined another local reputable agency, this time C.B. Fenton and during his 14 year career there, gained experience as an Assistant Operations Manager and then Commercial Manager. In 2015, Francisco joined Waypoint Panama as Country Manager for Canal Transits and Cargo Operations. The wealth of his 25 years’ experience operating in the Panama Canal, make him an expert in this field, which has contributed greatly in the development of Waypoint attracting an ever increasing number of clients transiting the Panama Canal. Considered a guru on canal transits internally and with our clients, Francisco is Panamanian and lives in Panama City.

Mariano Rafaelli
Regional Manager – The Americas

Mariano’s shipping career started in 2007 and spent 9 years as Manager of the disbursements department of Independent Ship Agents in Argentina, establishing himself as an expert in the field. Ever since Waypoint started, Mariano has been involved in different projects as  Business Support Manager for the Americas Region. In 2017, Mariano moved to Santos in Brazil taking up the role of President for Waypoint Brazil, spearheading the new office and development in this large and important country. As a result of his achievements, he relocated to Panama in 2019  taking up the new role of Regional Manager for the Americas, creating the important Americas Hub Centre. Mariano has overseen a huge development for WPS in the area, especially having our own setup in Mexico and a massive increase in activity in the USA. Mariano is Argentinian and resides in Houston.

Anthi Nakou
Country Manager Greece

Anthi holds a BA in English Language and Literature and an MA in Communication and Journalism. She worked as an education professional in the private and public sector for more than 15 years prior to joining Waypoint. She joined Waypoint Port Services in January 2019 initially as a company representative based in Greece. As a result of her success in establishing Waypoint as a leading agent with the Greek clients, Anthi was promoted to Country Manager in 2021 and leads all our activities in one of the most important shipping centres across the globe. Anthi is Greek and she has lived in both Greece and Cyprus.

Lucas Ferrini
Informatics & Marketing Manager

Lucas started his professional career in the technology industry, where he covered various positions within the Marketing Department of Hewlett Packard. In early 2013 he moved into shipping by joining Independent Ship Agents in Buenos Aires taking up a role in the Commercial Department back office, where he developed the CRM structure. In 2015, Lucas moved to Switzerland to join Waypoint Port Services where he has been working ever since. Lucas is solely responsible for all company Marketing and Informatics, and has single-handedly delivered our internal state-of-the-art port agency IT system, WayGate as project leader. Lucas is Argentinian and lives in Switzerland.

Gamal Yacout
Egypt Finance Manager & Local MD

Gamal has been in Shipping since 1980, well over 4 decades, having started as DA Analyst at Thebes Shipping Agency, one of the major shipping agencies in Egypt at that time. In 1992 Gamal moved to a shipowners company in the Emirates as Cost Controller and then returned to Egypt where in 1997 he joined WSS Egypt as Finance Manager, where he spent 23 Years. In 2020, Gamal started the process to institute Waypoint in Egypt and was fundamental to single handedly establishing our company in Egypt. Waypoint opened for business in Egypt in the first of December 2021, and Gamal holds the dual role of Finance Manager & Local MD. Gamal is Egyptian and resides in Alexandria, Egypt.

Mohamed Basiuny
Country Manager Egypt

Mohamed was born and raised into a family fully engaged in shipping, and his early dream was to follow into his parents’ footsteps and pursue a career in this field. He commenced his shipping life in 2004 by joining Wilhelmsen Ships Service as a boarding officer in Alexandria Port and during a 15 year stint with the same company, he progressed through the organisation reaching the highest operational position inside the company in less than 9 years . Mohamed, who is Egyptian, joined Waypoint in 2021 when the company opened its doors in Egypt, as a Country Manager and lives in Alexandria, Egypt.

Soula Dimitriou
Head of Liner Agency Division

Soula started her shipping career in 1990 when she joined United Feeder Services (UFS) in Limassol, Cyprus, where she made a name for herself within the Mediterranean liner industry as Trade Manager for the Egyptian feeder services. She then moved to Piraeus in Greece where she headed the documentation department for Arkas Hellas S.A. until 2018, leading the team of 25 staff handling all documentary aspects for local and transshipment cargo of principals such as Arkas, Yang Ming Line, Tarros and PIL amongst others. After her experience in Greece, Soula decided to relocate to Dubai in 2019 and experience the Principal side of the container line business, having been appointed Line Manager for Sealead Shipping. Deciding to return home, Soula left this reputable company in 2022 having reached the important role of Senior Agencies and Terminal Manager. Soula joined us to start up our container line business and resides in Cyprus.

Sandeep Galve
Country Manager India

Sandeep has been in Shipping throughout his working career, having started in 2005. He has worked with Interocean Shipping, a Chartering & Shipbroking firm, Maersk Tankers and S5 Agency World Ltd in a senior role. Sandeep was the founding member of Waypoint India when the company was formed in August 2020 and as Country Manager, is overseeing the development of Waypoint India into a nationwide port agency to cover all Indian ports. His experience and contribution is also helping develop Waypoint in the India Subcontinent region providing services to our clients in neighboring countries. Sandeep is Indian and lives in Mumbai city, India.

Velu Ramoo
Country Manager Singapore

Velu started his shipping career in 1996, and has been previously employed by Mitsui OSK (Lines) Singapore,  Apollo Marine Services and Hanseatic Shipping/Bernhard Schulte Ship Management. Velu is the founding member of Waypoint Singapore, and since he started up the local office in 2014, has been a fundamental part of Waypoints’ regional and global development. Serving as Singapore’s Country Manager as well as Regional Manager for South East Asia, Velu is goal-oriented and through his pursuit for excellence, has established Waypoint Singapore as our Flagship office and developed a reputation for a seamless operation within his territory as well as the region.

Edgar Bauyon
Country Manager Philippines

Edgar started his shipping career in port agency in Manila back in 1988, over 3 decades ago learning the ropes of the trade by attending to all types of vessels and port operations. This was extended to most other ports in The Philippines before heading north to the Middle East, where he spent many years in senior roles with Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS). These managing roles in the industry included the Liner business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Husbanding and Oil & Gas. Edgar brings on board a vast global experience in port agency, an excellent customer-relationship mindset, and a wisdom to lead his team with passion and professionalism, having done it already all before.

Galih Wicaksono
Country Manager Indonesia

Galih has been with Waypoint Port Services Indonesia since 2013.  Before joining Waypoint, he was with another port agency company for three years as an accountant. Galih has held various positions within Waypoint in Indonesia, namely Chief Accountant, where he undertook the challenge of cost control and work efficiency improvement tasks, and since 2015, Operations Manager looking after the activities in this vast country. Since January 2022, Galih has been promoted to Country Manager, where his finance qualification and operational competence will benefit Waypoint Port Services Indonesia and its clients in cost-efficient and error-free operations. Galih is Indonesian and resides in Jakarta.

Herry Kwak
Country Manager Republic of Korea

Herry Kwak joined Intercontinental Shipping, under Sebang Group in 2011, gained experience in container line business and husbanding services and moved to Ben Line Agencies Korea in 2013, as a founding member. After six years of achieving considerable experience throughout port agency services working with, and for a number of world-wide customers, Herry established his own shipping agency in Busan in 2019 and represented Waypoint in Korea. In June 2021, Herry and Waypoint joined forces to create Waypoint Port Services Korea where he holds the Country Manager as well as local Director position, witnessing a rapid growth in activity and expansion throughout the territory. Herry is Korean and resides in Busan.

Jerry Xu
Country Manager China

Jerry Xu has been in shipping ever since leaving university back in 1993. He has worked for renowned organisations such as Dalian Port, Cosco Shipping Line and V.Ships Group, always in senior roles.
Jerry joined Waypoint in June 2019 as Country Manager in China when the Waypoint China started its operations,  and leads the Agency being responsible for all operations, commercial as well as all the Administration of the company throughout China.
Jerry Xu is Chinese and has lived in Shanghai for over 2 decades, he holds a Master’s degree in shipping/logistics , in addition to a CPA license cert (Certified Public Accountant of China).
