Waypoint Port Services Singapore continue to shineThursday, 12th October 2017
The Waypoint Port Services (WPS) team in Singapore continue to break internal records. Up till the end of August 2017, the husbanding team had managed over 3500 crew changes, thus on average handling over one hundred (100) crew changes each week. Not a simple task given the complexities of arriving and departing vessels as well as increased airport formalities and security measures.
We are now handling multiple ship management companies that consider Singapore to be their crewing hub and thus rely on our high standards, safe relay and entrusted staff to care for their crew. The job is very demanding as Velu Ramoo, WPS Country Manager for Singapore, stated: ”At Waypoint, we insist on exceeding our clients’ expectations and offer a Service beyond the usual shipping agency requirements. And this is on a 24 Hrs SSHINC basis, New York is not the only city that never sleeps, Singapore in Maritime affairs, is just the same!”
To add to the crew changes, till the end of August we have seen a staggering increase of 58% in bunker calls awarded to our Singapore team, when compared to the same period last year. More than 3 vessels each week appoint the Waypoint team to manage the bunker supply. One client stated that the strict coordination, swift reports and excellent service is why she keeps nominating Waypoint for her fixed vessels.
